Make time for you!!

A 5 minute savasana. A few stretches. A seated meditation. A walk in nature. Sitting down savoring your coffee or tea. Read a few pages from an inspirational book. Do some deep breath work. A yoga practice. Listening to your favorite music while having your legs-up-the-wall. Make time for you!

A super important reminder...

Be mindful and listen to your body. Every body is unique. You want to feel good about your practice. That way you will come back to it again and again. It’s with consistency you will notice the beauty of the practice. Love, Helén

Weekly Yoga Schedule & New Video

Your weekly yoga schedule is up on Living Bliss Yoga!! The most recent uploaded yoga video is a 40 minute fullbody vinyasa flow that emphasizes  standing and balancing poses with deep breath awareness and presence.
No matter where we are or in what situation we can always return to our practice, in any moment. Apply the tools that you use on your yoga mat in your everyday life!! Be present to what is going on. Breathe deeply. Be attentive and patient towards yourself and others. Notice the alignment of your body. Are you offering your full attention to every interaction? What energy are you offering? Always return to your practice. Stay close to your practice wherever you are.

Home Yoga Practice

Your home yoga practice shouldn’t be another obligation... Instead let your practice help you create a supportive attitude towards yourself. There is nothing you need to fix. You are already whole and complete.

Friday Practice

Namaste yoginis,

I just finished my morning practice and I closed it with a seated meditation. Sometimes my meditation is very peaceful and sometimes not so... Today was a very peaceful one...and this happens when I let go of expectations from my yoga and meditation practice. Have you noticed that too in your practice?

Earlier this morning I drew a card from my yoga healing card deck (Art of Attention) or I should say a card jumped out... The card was: “Responsibility; When you take responsibility, you ensure your evolution.” ~Elena Brower
Isn’t that the truth?! Isn’t that why we roll out our yoga mat everyday? Isn’t that why we meditate everyday? We take responsibility over ourselves, to be our best selves. We take responsibility over our health and well-being.

Look out for a new fresh weekly yoga schedule on Sunday! Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Love,
Helén

Meditation

The best way to stimulate, open and balance our crown chakra is meditation. Take a comfortable seat, let your mind rest on your breathing. Be present to yourself. Remember, there is no such thing as a perfect meditation. There is no such thing as a “blank” mind. Thoughts will come and go, let them do that, release them and come back to your breathing. Take control, don’t let the thoughts control you. Namaste, Helén

Chakra Series - Week Seven

This week we are exploring our seventh chakra, sahasrara, which means thousand petal lotus. The crown chakra is the last of the seven and resides at the top of our head. When the crown chakra is open and balanced we feel at peace with ourselves, we feel a spiritual connection and oneness to the source.

Your yoga videos for this week are up on LBY! Enjoy the journey.

Wisdom...

Remember this in your practice;
“The success of Yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures but in how it positively changes the way we live our life and our relationships.” ~T.K.V Desikachar

Ajna Chakra

This week we are exploring our sixth chakra, ajna, which means place of command, infinite power. The ajna chakra is also known as the third eye, the window to our soul. When open and balanced we are in tuned with our intuition, we trust our inner voice.

“Your intuition holds ancient wisdom;
trust it. ~Elena Brower

Reflections

Thoughts during my yoga practice this morning;
The beauty with a home yoga practice is that we can take our time to investigate the depths of our inner landscape. Explore. Breathe. Flow. Trust. Reflect. Repeat.
It’s not about perfection. The asanas are tools to dig deeper...

Chakra Five

This week in our chakra series we explore the throat chakra, visuddha, which means purification. It is the center of communication, self-expression, creative expression speaking and living our truth.
The yoga videos are filled with soothing neck and shoulder stretches, lion’s breath, arm circles within the asanas to open up, ham mantra and skyblue visualization...
