Balance
Even though spring is an active time filled with growth, newness, and shedding off the winter it’s important to become aware of the balance between movement and stillness, action and rest, do and be. When there is no balance we tip over to one side and the energy either leak or get stagnant. So in the midst of all the activity we need mindful rest. Begin to observe yourself in your daily life; where do you need some balance between the opposites? Do you need more action so the energy don’t get stagnant? Or do you need more rest so the energy don’t leak?

Spring Yoga Series Week two - Energy
This week in our spring yoga series we are focusing on energy. You don't need to fix anything...
My yoga practice is not about fixing anything about myself. It’s about embracing who I am. I can roll out my mat and accept all of me in the moment. What a relief this is. It took me some years to understand this... Don’t wait. Accept and embrace all that you are. You don’t need to fix anything about yourself.

Weekly Yoga Schedule
Make a relationship with stillness...
We need stillness. We need quiet time. We need some solitude and peace.
We need this to get back to ourselves and to get access to our inner reservoir. Why not setting aside some time this week to be still and quiet. Get in touch with the silence within. We can do this on a walk, sitting in front of a roaring fire, enjoying a bath, watching the sky, sitting in stillness watching the breath, a calming yoga practice, a restorative pose, savoring a cup of tea or coffee, retreat to a quiet place and lie down for savasana... Carve out some time and just be.

Pause...
Today, take a moment to just pause and begin to notice your breathing. Feel the flow of your inhale and exhale. Then, gently begin to deepen your breathing. Let it become slow, steady and deep. Visualize the space that you are creating within. Stay with that for a moment. Give yourself room. As you return to your daily tasks; keep this sensation of inner space.
